Fort Knox lends a helping hand at the food bank

Fort Knox employees and their families recently volunteered their time at the local community food bank before the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. Twenty volunteers packed more than 300 food boxes that benefitted families in Fairbanks, Alaska.

“The experience was extremely rewarding for all of us, especially right before a holiday that is centred around family and food,” said Anna Atchison, External Affairs Manager, Fort Knox.

Fort Knox has a long-standing partnership with the food bank, including ongoing donations from Kinross as well as individual donations from employees and fundraising activities at the site.

“We plan to do this again very soon,” continued Anna.
