Silver Winner: Bryan Perchetti, Field Maintenance Supervisor, Round Mountain

Silver Winner:
Bryan Perchetti
, Field Maintenance Supervisor, Round Mountain

The Field Maintenance team is well known across Round Mountain for their safety and efficiency record, all of which Bryan has been instrumental in accomplishing.

Bryan has developed specialized tools to decrease injury and increase efficiency across Kinross’ operations. For example, he’s created tools to straighten frames of loaders, a bucket stand for the 6060 shovel as a safety precaution, and a cylinder cradle that has been certified by P&H, a mining equipment design company.

Aside from his innovative contributions to Kinross, Bryan was instrumental in the rapid assembly of the CAT 7495 shovel and the CAT 6060 shovel. He ensured his teams focused on tasks at hand, while remaining safe and operating in the most efficient way.

Employees across Round Mountain lean on Bryan’s expertise and ability to teach. He has helped the Health and Safety team develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both regular and unusual tasks, and he acts as a consultant for the maintenance portion of the Job Hazard Analysis program.

“Bryan is well-known across Round Mountain. Employees turn to him for advice and solutions to better perform tasks while maintaining safety protocols,” said Chris Swanson, Maintenance Manager, Round Mountain. “Having someone as well-rounded and experienced as Bryan makes for a safer, more viable operation.”
