Olga joined Kinross in 2017 and became known amongst her colleagues as ‘the master of the impossible’. A senior legal representative, Olga is relied upon for complex, urgent matters and consistently delivers high performance results that benefit the Company and its external relations.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Olga took on a lead responsibility communicating Kinross’ response and action plan to government authorities. This involved drafting procedures for COVID-19 shift-change testing of staff and processing documents that provided information on employees arriving for observation. Olga made herself available 24/7 to communicate with mine operations, healthcare facilities and COVID-19 labs and as a result, we were able to maintain ongoing testing, and timely rotations to the mine sites.

Aside from her efforts during COVID-19, Olga was responsible for the successful closure of several cases in 2019 that further strengthened Kinross’ relations with government officials and external parties. She helped facilitate on-site inspections, and worked cross-disciplinarily on several licensing cases within the Company.
