Kinross
Brasil was recently recertified by SA 8000 for their social responsibility
efforts over the last three years. This is Kinross’ sixth time being recognized
by the standard since 2004, as each certification is valid for three years.
Some highlights of Kinross’ sustainability and social responsibility efforts since their last certification in 2018 include income and job opportunity training, supporting local foodbanks through the Integrar program, supporting local children and elderly protection services for those in vulnerable areas, and campaigning to reduce the risk of domestic violence for women and children in the community. responsibility who have received this recertification,” said Eduardo Magalhães, Director of HR, Supplies and IT. “As we celebrate this milestone,
we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility and
improving the environment and communities surrounding our operation.”
