In September, Kinross Paracatu brought together thousands of employees and community members for the 16th edition of
‘Integrar na Praça’!
The event, which translates to ‘Integrate in the Square’, was hosted this year in the historical ‘Praça do Santana’
– the official neighbourhood where the city of Paracatu was established.
This year’s theme was ‘Strengthening Our Roots’ and served as an opportunity to bring together Kinross employees and our
local stakeholders to celebrate the culture of the city and the positive relationships we have developed between the
Company and the community, as well as the projects and partners we support.
Over the eight-hour event, attendees enjoyed a variety of activities including cultural and musical performances by
local artists, soccer tournaments, ballet classes and complimentary services for all ages. Participants were also able
to learn more about Kinross at our event booths and information sessions, where our team discussed our operations and
environmental projects, as well as education, job creation and income-generation opportunities available throughout the
Company and in the community.
“Integrar na Praça is a special annual event in Paracatu. It’s an opportunity for us to connect with our community and

this event each year, further strengthening the relationships between Kinross and our stakeholders.”
“This year’s Integrar na Praça was one of my favourites. I was very happy with the location Kinross chose as it was
beautifully decorated and welcoming and tied into the event’s theme of ‘Strengthening Our Roots,’” said Berenice Mendes,
a local resident of Paracatu and attendee of every Integrar na Praça’ event since its inception. “Each year, this event
shows Kinross’ commitment to building a relationship between the Company and our community, and learning more about our
history. We are very grateful that they continue to put on this annual event.”
