On September 30th, we recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – an opportunity to acknowledge and honour the lives impacted by the residential school system in Canada.

At Kinross, we respect the experience of Indigenous Peoples and recently welcomed Karen Chaboyer, a second-generation residential school system Survivor and Ojibwa mother and grandmother from Rainy River First Nations to our Toronto office to share with employees her personal journey of resilience and healing.

Captured above, Karen shares her experience in the residential school system in an effort to foster truth, understanding and reconciliation.
