Bridging the Gap Between Russia’s North and South Operations

On May 1st, Kinross Russia completed construction of a bridge across the Maliy Anyui River, as a part of the all-season road construction from Kupol to Dvoinoye. The all-season road is a critical piece of infrastructure in Russia, providing year-round transportation for employees and freights from site to site, and delivering ore mined at Dvoinoye to Kupol’s mill. The new permanent structure ensures safe and reliable passage over the river throughout the year, especially during the spring when water levels rise from the Starichnaya River.

Over 80 employees from both sites, as well as contractors, were involved in the bridge construction. Congratulations to the construction team for completing the project within a short timeframe, well ahead of schedule and within budget!
