July 3rd marked International Plastic Free day, a day to draw attention to damages the environment faces from plastic pollution.
Employees from our Chirano mine in Ghana alongside local community members volunteered to clean up plastic waste in the Akoti, Etwebo and Paboase communities.
Adriano Sobreira, Vice-President & General Manager, Chirano, led the cleanup efforts and spoke to community members on strategies to keep their land clean and pollution free.
