Peter Fischl (Senior Geologist, Exploration, Russian Far East) is an amateur photographer who has provided us with outstanding images of the Northern Lights above Kupol. Recently, Peter captured the lights above Dvoinoye.
“We’ve been getting some great Northern Light’s activity over the last week,” said Peter. “I took these next to the satellite receiving station for our cell phone provider, near the Dvoinoye camp. The light on the snow-covered hills is from the camp itself, making for some interesting contrast with the dark sky.”
