Our Round Mountain mine site is located in a very rural community in Nevada, U.S., approximately four hours north of Las Vegas and four hours south of Reno. Despite its remote location, The General Store – built, run and operated by the mine – provides employees and the local community with access to the best of what is available in the region. The General Store has become the community’s one-stop shop for all the essentials. In addition to supplying basic food and groceries, the store provides non-food items that are on par with trends in the grocery industry in major cities. The basics – from fresh produce, dairy, meats, bread – are covered, while items to better serve community demands and dietary restrictions – organic, lactose-free and gluten-free products – are easily accessible.
The General Store has earned a reputation for its specialities. The meat department is renowned throughout the valley, with customers passing on “big city” stores and driving over 100 miles to have the butchers supply quality meat products. Revered as the unofficial craft beer capital of central Nevada, the store also boasts a varied beer selection from coast to coast.
