A new documentary featuring Tasiast is attracting a lot of attention on our YouTube Channel and Company Facebook page. Called It’s Africa’s Time – Season 2 – Kinross Gold Full Story, the 13-minute documentary, which aired across Africa on NBC reaching 267 million viewers, is part of a series on sustainable business in Africa supported by the United Nations Development Programme.
A crew came to Tasiast and interviewed a number of employees, including Dan Snodgress (Vice-President & General Manager), Abou Sow (Continuous Improvement Analyst) and Mohamed Khattar (Community Relations Officer). They also met with members of the local community who talked about the opportunities for skills training and partnerships with the mine.
