This is Kinross’ ninth year being named to the sustainability yearbook that recognizes industry-leading companies under its annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) published by S&P Global.

“We congratulate Kinross Gold for achieving a place in The Sustainability Yearbook 2021. With over 7,000 companies assessed, an inclusion in the yearbook is a true statement of corporate sustainability excellence,” said Manjit Jus, Global Head of ESG Research, S&P Global.

The assessment evaluated over 7,000 companies across 61 industries, with Kinross scoring within the top 15% of the metals & mining industry.

“This recognition is a direct result of the attention to First Priorities at every one of Kinross’ operations. It’s thanks to our employees and their sustained efforts, that we continue to score highly on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) performance,” said Ed Opitz, SVP Safety and Sustainability. “Across the company our people put our core values into action – we manage our impacts to ensure zero harm to our employees, our environment, and our communities; we generate positive benefits in host communities and countries; and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and respect for stakeholders. This recognition is well-deserved, and is a reflection of the people who make up our company.”
