Paracatu recently hosted their 12th annual ‘Integrar in the Square’ – a festival bringing together over 6,000 community members for a weekend of interactive events, activities and promoting ongoing social projects and initiatives in the community.
The weekend was filled with games and activities geared toward youth including arts and crafts, environmental education and resume-building consultation. There were also health activities, dance lessons and even a guided cycling tour highlighting the history of Paracatu.
Kinross also highlighted the numerous programs and initiatives run by the Company through Integrar Program over the course of the year.
The weekend finished off with a free nighttime concert for the community that featured local DJs, artists and performers. Vitor Kley, a popular Brazilian singer, headlined this year’s concert.
“This was yet another successful ‘Integrar in the Square’, an event we are very proud to host,” said Ana Cunha, Senior Manager, Corporate Relations, Paracatu. “The event aims to bring together our community and Company to enjoy our shared space. We are very pleased with this year’s turnout and the positive feedback we received.”
