Kinross Russia receives top rating from Russia’s World Wildlife Fund!

Congratulations Kinross Russia, which was recently named the top company in the Environmental Transparency Rating of Russian Mining and Metals Companies, compiled by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Russia and the country’s National Rating Agency (NRA).

The rating assessed 40 Russian companies in the categories of environmental management, environmental impact and disclosure of information. The rating aims to increase transparency in reporting, encouraging companies to reduce environmental impacts, facilitate responsible  use of natural resources and promote social responsibility .

“Kinross operates according to the highest international standards and best practices in environmental stewardship,” said Claude Schimper, Senior Vice-President, Operations Russia. “Recognition of our achievements in Russia by WWF proves that we are on the right track. Kinross’ success is owed to our employees who, on a daily basis, make their contribution to continuous improvement in managing our environmental and social footprint.”

Kinross Russia remains a leader in the WWF rating, – including rating first place in 2017 and 2018 and placing in the top three companies in 2019.
