There were many bright smiles in Magadan as 56 children with special needs received presents from Kinross Russia employees over the holidays.
It’s the seventh year in a row that Russia has helped Special Childhood, an organization that assists kids living with disabilities.
Employees joined forces to raise money for the presents and even volunteered their time to call parents of the children to ask what gifts they had on their wish lists.
The Magadan office was involved with wrapping gifts and holding an event to give the children their presents. The fun afternoon also included employees with their kids reading poems and playing games together.
“It’s a highlight of the holidays for us every year to be a part of making a kid’s holiday extra special,” said Evgeniya Saevich, Regional Manager, Corporate Responsibility, Russia. “Thank you to all of the staff members who continue to give generously, by donation and also their time.”
