Bill Jones,
Chief of Process Services, Kettle River-Buckhorn

Bill has been responsible for water management and the water treatment plant at Kettle River-Buckhorn for ten years.

Bill will regularly give lessons on water treatment to both children and adults, explaining complex concepts in simple terms to be understood by all.

Aside from his role in Process Services at the site, Bill helps other operations across the Company.  He consults on laboratory and environmental issues, including chemical management. His expertise has been used by numerous sites to improve their environmental processes and reduce costs, including at Kupol, Fort Knox and La Coipa.

“He’s constantly looking for ways to find efficient solutions to ensure the environment is always at the forefront and constantly wanting to contribute to the community. He’s the definition of an Outstanding Corporate Citizen,” said one of Bill’s nominators.
