Faces of Tasiast: Mauritanian Television Campaign

From November through February, television stations in Mauritania will broadcast episodes from our new Faces of Tasiast campaign – a series that brings to life how Tasiast is changing the lives of four Mauritanians who work at the mine. The first of the four videos* is now available online via our Tasiast YouTube Channel, or from the Tasiast Facebook page.

Ehbibi Ely Badilly (Assistant Trainer, Tasiast) is the first employee featured in the video series. In his words, “I joined Tasiast in 2013, and completed a technical training program that lasted 9 months. Currently, I am taking a course to myself become a trainer in industrial mechanics. This is a great opportunity for a young person like me to work in Mauritania for a company that really invests in employee training. “

This campaign is part of a broader and ongoing effort to promote Kinross in Mauritania, especially as we approach 2015 and a decision regarding the Tasiast expansion project.

*Please note that the videos are currently only available in French and Arabic.
