Kinross Russia donates COVID-19 antibody tests to help protect community

In May, Kinross Russia donated 12,500 COVID-19 antibody test kits to help protect local communities in the Chukotka and Magadan region against the pandemic.

The donation is part of Kinross’ contribution to support local communities during this difficult time. This includes a commitment of $US1.82 million to support the Chukotka, Magadan and Khabarovsk regions in April.

“Our number one priority is to protect the health and safety of our employees, their families and our host communities,” said Claude Schimper, Senior Vice-President, Russia. “The test kits were promptly delivered by our team to the Russian Far East and will help to mitigate further spread of COVID-19 in the region. We will continue to support local communities in their response to the pandemic.”

Kinross Russia remains in close contact with the  health authorities in the three regions where we operate to ensure our contributions are allocated to meet their most urgent needs and help protect the people in our host communities.
