At the start of 2021, Kinross Tasiast’s community relations team developed a campaign to help curb the spread of COVID-19 by using our mobile clinics to promote health and safety best practices and provide PPE to students in surrounding communities.
Since the start of 2021, the mobile clinics have traveled through regions surrounding the mine and assisted over 225 recipients. The vans provide sanitary supplies and educational information, as well as consultations with a doctor and nurse who can examine patients and provide medical assistance.
