Kinross Chirano recently provided over US$6,000 to sponsor the Western North Region Independence Day Inter-District JHS Quiz Competition!
The competition brought together 27 students from nine schools in the Bibiani district for a day of fun competition that tested the students’ knowledge in science, geography and current events. In the end, the Awaso Academy International School took home the grand prize – a new laptop, printer and educational tablet for each of the three teammates!
The President of the National House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of Anhwiaso, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, spoke at the event where he expressed appreciation to Kinross Chirano for their support of educational initiatives in the community.
This was Kinross’ second consecutive year sponsoring the event in Ghana’s Western North Region that aims to promote youth education while reinforcing our commitment to further developing the region.
