Kinross Round Mountain celebrates US Independence Day over the weekend!

Last week, Round Mountain marked the United States Independence Day with their annual Fourth of July picnic . This year’s picnic brought together over 1,500 community members, employees and their families for a fun-packed weekend of activities and events to celebrate the holiday.

Over the course of the weekend, attendees participated in a ‘glow-in-the-dark run’, kickball, softball and night golf tournaments and even a ‘Little Mr. and Miss. Kinross’ showcase where contestants were tasked with reciting Kinross’ values, sharing why they love Round Mountain and telling the judges a fun, safe activity they enjoy.

On the Fourth of July, Kinross hosted their annual fishing derby, parade and ended off with their annual picnic that included performances from a live band, carnival games, a petting zoo, gold panning and of course several food stations to keep attendees well fed!

“We are overwhelmed with the turnout from this year’s Fourth of July picnic. It’s so special to see the whole community come together after a missed year in 2020 due to the pandemic,” said Denise Carver, Human Resource Manager, Round Mountain. “This picnic is one of the first kick-offs of life post-pandemic for our community and we are glad to see the success of the event . A special thanks to our team who brought this event to life and made it special for our Kinross and Round Mountain family.”
