Kinross Chile hosts 2022 Spring Festival in the Atacama!

After a two-year hiatus, Kinross Chile was excited to welcome back the annual ‘Spring Festival’ in-person!

The Festival is an opportunity to highlight Chilean artists and entrepreneurs as part of our agreement with the ‘Seremi de Cultura’ and the ‘Desierto Creativo Foundation’ to integrate local arts and culture in the social activities we host as a Company.

This year’s festival brought together over 12,000 attendees from the Atacama region for a night of music and live performances from national artists including ‘Los Chancho en Piedra’ and ‘Los Jaivas’ as well as local emerging talents ‘Astronáutiko,’ ‘Catiusca,’ ‘Los Llaco,’ and ‘Barrio Negro’.

Attendees also had the opportunity to attend the ‘expo-fair’ at the start of the event where they could check out local entrepreneurs’ booths to see the creative, new businesses in the Atacama.

“The Spring Festival is part of a partnership developed more than a decade ago to create a space for arts and culture in the region,” said Juan Catalan, Chief of Communications, Chile. “As in-person events continue to return to normal, we are committed to developing more activities where local artists and new talents receive the support needed to kick off their careers. Along with that, we believe these events are an opportunity to promote community and quality time with family and friends while embracing our culture.”
