Kinross kicks off Safety Excellence training at Toronto office!

On October 17th, Kinross launched its Safety Excellence training at our corporate headquarters in Toronto, Canada, with Claude Schimper, Executive Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer, and Kathleen Grandy, Senior Vice-President, Human Resources, initiating the first session.

This global program, tailored by employee groups to suit local context, aims to foster personal and professional growth, enhancing our people-centric safety culture in Kinross.

Over two days, participants engage in activities, team-building exercises, video tutorials, and lectures on health, safety, and human & organizational factors.

The training fosters positive relationships among employees, contributing to a safe and successful work environment in which everybody feels safe to speak up and contribute.

Since 2023, nearly 11,000 employees and business partners have completed the training globally. The Toronto sessions will continue until January 2025.
