A Safer Ride for Thousands of Kids in Alaska

Hats off to Fort Knox and the site’s recent sponsorship of Youth Safety Day – a terrific opportunity to help educate kids in Fairbanks about the importance of safety! The event attracted more than 4,000 Alaskans, and offered up 750 free bicycle helmets for local youth. All of the helmets were donated and fitted by Fort Knox employees. The event was so well-received that the site has since committed to purchasing an additional 2,500 helmets, to be given to kids in 2015.

Anna Atchison (External Affairs Manager, Fort Knox), helps outfit children with bike helmets during Youth Safety Day in Alaska.
