Analysts and investors tour the Gilmore expansion project at Fort Knox

A group of twenty-one analysts and investors visited Fort Knox last week to learn more about the recently announced Gilmore expansion project in Alaska.

Lauren Roberts, Chief Operating Officer, and Eric Hill, Vice-President and General Manager, Fort Knox, showed the visitors around the mine alongside Kinross employees from the Fort Knox team, as well as our Projects and Investor Relations teams.

Analysts and investors got a first-hand look at the Walter Creek heap leach facility, the Fort Knox pit overlook, the mill and the future site of the Barnes Creek heap leach facility, which will be constructed for the Gilmore expansion.

Attendees learned more about Fort Knox’s processing, mill and heap leach operations, and Kinross’ expertise in operating a heap leach facility in a sub-arctic climate. The Kinross team then gave an overview on the Gilmore expansion, reviewed feasibility study details, and highlighted the project’s excellent potential.
