A group of analysts visited Tasiast in October to learn more about our Tasiast operation and see first-hand the transformational, recently completed Tasiast 24k project.

Claude SchimperChief Operating Officer, Andrea Freeborough, Chief Financial Officer, Afjal Hashim, General Manager, Tasiast, and Mike Papadakis, Deputy General Manager, Tasiast, showed the visitors around the mine alongside Tasiast employees, as well as our Investor Relations and Exploration teams.

After an initial safety briefing, the tour included several stops with presentations taking place at various points around the operation, starting with the enhanced mill, then moving to the mine lookout to learn about the mine plan, and finally the solar plant.

Attendees learned more about the Tasiast 24k project and enhanced processing capabilities, our commitment to diversity and inclusion, training and apprenticeship opportunities for local people, areas of focus for exploration, as well as the benefits associated with the new 80,000 panel solar plant that is expected to generate 20% of Tasiast’s overall energy supply.
