Bald Mountain donates a further $40,000 to provide community support during COVID-19

Bald Mountain recently announced a second round of support totalling approximately US$40,000 to support local businesses, healthcare workers and students in the White Pine County and Ely communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, Bald Mountain has contributed approximately US$100,000 in COVID-19 relief donations to support the local community.

The most recent donation includes $20,000 in financial support to the City of Ely’s Revolving Loan Program that supports small local businesses, the purchase of $10,000 in ‘Chamber Bucks’ that can be used at 25 local businesses for frontline healthcare workers, and a $9,600 donation to White Pine County School District’s lunch program to provide meals to students through May.

“Kinross Bald Mountain is pleased to continue its support of local communities during the COVID-19 crisis,” said Adriano Sobreira, Vice-President and General Manager, Bald Mountain. “At Kinross, we strive to be a good neighbour and responsible corporate citizen, and these donations help us live those values.”

Bald Mountain provided their first round of financial support to the community in April to various foodbanks and services, including a $35,000 donation to the Elko County School District.
