Bald Mountain invests in Community Foundation of Elko County

Our Bald Mountain mine in Nevada announced a commitment of $30,000, to benefit Elko County residents through the Community Foundation of Elko County (CFEC).

“We are excited to provide support to this valuable organization through a multi-year commitment. We believe in supporting the long-term sustainability of our community and see this investment as an ideal opportunity to do that,” said Alissa Wood, Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist, Bald Mountain.

The CFEC is an endowment fund that provides annual grants to nonprofit organizations. Residents of Elko County are asked to nominate nonprofit organizations to receive grants.

This year, two of the grants were awarded to the Nevada Springs Creek High School for their Peer Mentoring Program and the Committee Against Domestic Violence through the Harbor House to provide meals for women and children.

Bald Mountain’s donation will increase the amount of available grants. The donation will begin this year and will be paid in $10,000 increments over the next three years.
