At the beginning of October, Kinross welcomed our Living Our Values Awards (LOVA) winners to Toronto for the annual ‘LOVA’ week to celebrate our winners and their accomplishments.
This year, seven of our 2024 winners and one of our 2023 winners traveled from across our global operations to Toronto with a guest of their choice and participated in five-days of events and activities to explore the city and connect with their fellow winners.
Attendees visited sites including the world-renowned CN Tower, Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ripley’s Aquarium, local Toronto neighbourhoods such as Kensington Market and the Distillery Historic District, and participated in fun team-building activities including a cooking class at ‘Dish Cooking Studio’ and a ‘Meet & Greet’ office tour with Toronto employees at our corporate headquarters.
On the Wednesday evening, winners attended a reception at Steam Whistle Brewery where their stories and accomplishments were showcased and they accepted their awards on stage from Paul Rollinson, CEO, with attendance by site leadership and our Toronto office employees.
“The LOVA reception is always one of my personal highlights of the year, as we recognize our global workforce and meet the employees who are bringing our four core values to life – both at work and in the community,” said Paul. “These employees put our values at the forefront each day and we are proud to have them as representatives of Kinross.”
