Kinross Round Mountain marked the United States Independence Day with their annual Fourth of July picnic!
This year’s event brought together over 1,500 community members, employees and their families for a fun-packed day of activities to celebrate the holiday.
Over the course of the day, Kinross hosted the annual fishing derby and horseshoe tournament, the Fourth of July parade and ended off with their annual picnic, which included carnival games, rides and several American-themed food stations!
A fan favourite stop at the picnic was the Cashman Equipment booth which had several small excavators for children to explore and Round Mountain’s famous haul truck. A special thank you to Cashman Equipment and Round Mountain’s maintenance team for bringing these mining equipment pieces to the picnic!
“Each year, we look forward to Round Mountain’s Fourth of July picnic as a way to come together with the community to celebrate our great nation,” said Haley Hastie, Kinross Nevada Recruiter. “The picnic is an excellent opportunity to get to know our community members and for them to learn more about Kinross and our Values. It is a pleasure to see how the community comes out for this event and we believe this helps build on our relationship each year.”
