Meet Ismaël Mohamed Boubacar. Ismaël is a Director with SCTP, a Tasiast Supplier specializing in construction and maintenance work. Ismaël has worked at the mine since late 2010, just after Kinross acquired the Tasiast operation.
Ismaël’s story is the last feature in our Faces of Tasiast campaign that began in October, and which has highlighted the benefits Tasiast brings to Mauritania.
“Our company has evolved significantly since we started working with Kinross Tasiast,” says Ismaël. “We have been able to double the size of our workforce and invest in a fleet of ten trucks. We have also acquired new skills in organization, safety and hygiene. This is a real win-win partnership.“
