On a recent trip to our Kupol mine in Russia, Kim LaCarte, JDE Maintenance Technology Specialist, Toronto, captured a rare photo of the famous Kupol rock in the summer.
When it’s not covered in a blanket of snow, you can see the breathtaking rock formation that makes up the landmark.
Reflecting the shape of the rock, the name Kupol translates to ‘dome’ and inspired the name of our mine.
