Kinross Fort Knox pours nine millionth ounce of gold!

We are excited to announce our Fort Knox mine in Alaska reached a significant milestone in 2023 by pouring its nine millionth ounce of gold!

Representatives from Kinross’ Corporate Human Resources team Kathleen Grandy, Senior Vice-President, Human Resources, and Maria Rodmell, Vice-President, HR Operations, attended the ceremonial gold pour along with students from the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ (UAF) College of Engineering and Mines who were recipients of Kinross Fort Knox’s endowment scholarships.

The students’ attendance provided an excellent opportunity to show them around the site and to network with Fort Knox leadership before heading into the refinery to see the milestone gold pour.

The students began the day with a lunch attended by Fort Knox management, followed by a tour of the mill and refinery where they saw the nine millionth ounce poured in person!
