Each year, Kinross Round Mountain partners with Great Basin College to provide five scholarships to grade 12 students in the Round Mountain, Tonopah, Duckwater Shoshone and Yomba Shoshone communities!
The full scholarships provide students with a fast-paced, 48-week educational program and access to state-of-the-art technologies to learn a variety of skills in the diesel technology, electrical systems, industrial millwright, instrumentation technology or welding fields. Upon completing the programs, students are eligible to apply for employment opportunities at Round Mountain.
Captured above, Samantha Faga, CSR Specialist, Round Mountain, speaks with students at Round Mountain high school about the scholarships and opportunities available to them upon completion of the program.
