Thanks to a recent $10,000 donation from Kinross Fort Knox, through the Fort Knox Community Investment committee, the Golden Heart Community Foundation has raised $100,000 just one year after it began building its endowment. The donation from Fort Knox is the largest donation from a local organization. The newly-formed foundation fund will begin writing grants to local non-profit organizations in 2014.
