We are excited to announce our Bald Mountain and Round Mountain teams received top scores at this year’s Nevada Mining Association (NvMA) awards!
Congratulations Kinross Bald Mountain who received first place in the Mine Operators Safety Award – Surface Large Operations category (300+ employees), and Bald Mountain’s South Operations team who received first place in the Mine Operators Safety Award – Surface Small Operations category (20-99 employee).

- Reagan Miller, Lab Technician, Bald Mountain – Safety Champion
- Tony Phillips, Safety Supervisor, Round Mountain – Safety Professional
- Chris Chalk, Operations Superintendent, Bald Mountain – Superintendent
- Deiniol Jones, Chief Geotechnical Engineer, Round Mountain – Superintendent
- Jason Cooley, Health and Safety General Supervisor, Bald Mountain – Safety Supervisor (14 or less)
In addition to this year’s safety awards, Kinross Bald Mountain received the 2024 Reclamation Award for ‘Leadership in Concurrent Reclamation’ for the Process 1 reclaimed area at the 2024 NvMA awards.
The NvMA Awards recognize Nevada mining operations who demonstrate exceptional commitment to safety in their operations, and ensure the well-being of employees, partners and communities in which they operate. This year, over 230 nominations were submitted and voted on by industry peers.
