Congratulations to Kinross Paracatu on being voted the ‘Company of the Year’ in the Precious Metals and Mineral category by Brazil Mineral magazine, the most widely read mining publication in Brazil.
The magazine noted the mine’s excellent operations management and its social and environmental programs in the community.
“This recognition is a result of the entire team maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence as well as an unwavering commitment to the social and environmental well-being of the communities around Paracatu,” said Gilberto Azevedo, Vice-President and General Manager, Paracatu. “It means a lot to be given this award from readers of Brazil Mineral magazine.”
Winners of the award are chosen in two stages: first, Brazil Mineral’s advisory council, made up of professionals and entrepreneurs in the sector, picks a list of finalists. Readers of the magazine then vote for the winners from the list of nominees.
