Our people are our strength: new ‘Leadership The Kinross Way’ program launches

Our people are our strength, and we are excited to announce the launch of Leadership The Kinross Way, our refreshed leadership program with some newly designed tools that will further empower and develop talent from within the Company.

The program provides guidance on the Company’s expectations and approach to leadership, and articulates 12 Leadership Capabilities that define what it means to be a Kinross leader at every level of the organization. The program will also give our people the opportunity to expand and enhance their skills and knowledge base by providing training and support.

“It’s about our people: investing in our people and developing our people. Leadership is essential to the success of the Company, and one of my top priorities is to ensure that Kinross has the current and future leadership it requires to execute our business strategy,” said J. Paul Rollinson, President & CEO.

As part of the program, we have refreshed the Leadership The Kinross Way handbook. Focused around the newly developed Kinross’ 12 Leadership Capabilities, the handbook will serve as a road map on how you can continue to grow and develop as leaders.

One of the more important aspects of the program is providing opportunities for our people to self-develop. With that in mind, we are launching Kinross University, an exciting new online learning hub that will help develop leadership skills. The online platform has a host of videos, articles and tutorials to expand your knowledge, sharpen your skills and learn new capabilities. Kinross U is available wherever we operate – no matter where in the world you are, or whether you have five minutes, or five hours – it’s at your fingertips and can be easily accessed. “Understanding the 12 Leadership Capabilities will help you succeed at Kinross no matter what your role is. They were chosen with input from across the organization and with the Company’s priorities at the forefront,” said Esther Girgis, Senior Manager, Leadership and Talent, Human Resources. “I encourage you to read Leadership the Kinross Way and explore the Kinross University. Stay tuned for more information from your HR teams as the program launches at the local level.”
