Congratulations to our Round Mountain employees who recently won four safety awards from the Nevada Mining Association (NvMA).
Eric Frazier, Mobile Mechanic and Mine Lead, Nicole Silberschlag, Leach Pad Supervisor, Carl Shrider, Senior Supervisor, and Dan Rogers, Senior Mine Shift Supervisor, received awards for demonstrating exemplary safety practices in the workplace.
“Safety needs to be at the forefront for every employee and every task we do each day,” said Carl Shrider, Senior Supervisor, Round Mountain. “I feel honored to accept this award and to continue to inspire my colleagues to follow the safety culture at Round Mountain.”
The recipients accepted their awards at the NvMA Convention and awards banquet last month. The event brings together members of the mining industry to network and celebrate people who are making a difference in the safety culture of the mining industry in Nevada.
“As a Mine Supervisor, my goal is to keep my colleagues safe and to show them the importance of doing each task responsibly,” said Dan Rogers, Senior Mine Department Supervisor. “I hope to pass along my dedication to safety with all employees across Kinross.”
