Silver Winner:
Amanda Keeling, Ore Process Maintenance Planner, Bald Mountain
Amanda joined Kinross in 2015 and became known as a ‘go-to’ person at Bald Mountain.
In the Elko community, Amanda is a familiar face, taking part in community programs to provide education and resources to those in need in the Elko community. She was also recently asked to join the Great Basin Advisory Board as a Kinross representative.
Whenever there is a volunteer opportunity at Bald Mountain, Amanda is an eager participant. She has been involved in food and clothing drives and serves as a volunteer at Harbor House, a domestic violence shelter in Elko.
Employees across all departments at Bald Mountain can attest to Amanda’s work ethic and willingness to lend a hand when needed.
The IT department leans on Amanda as the JDE Systems expert available to provide solutions and alternatives to complete tasks more efficiently.
The mobile maintenance and ore process teams recall Amanda using her days off to provide additional support. She would cover weekend shortages or come in when projects needed an extra set of hands. Amanda even spent her days off at the mine to learn more about the ore process plant and resources available to assist her team.
“Having a colleague like Amanda improves day-to-day operations. Regardless of how busy she is, she always makes herself available to help others and make their day easier. Bald Mountain is lucky to have someone like her on our team!”
Whether it is a community member or a colleague, Amanda’s commitment to others, positive attitude, and willingness to lend a hand makes her an Outstanding Corporate Citizen.
