Konstantin Mikhailov, Senior SharePoint Developer, Magadan
Konstantin is someone who always has multiple projects on the go to meet different business needs. He strives to create an efficient business environment, while constantly looking for new ways to innovate.
He started working at Kinross in 2014 and has made a big impact on achieving goals that seemed unattainable prior to his arrival. Through his IT work, Konstantin has optimized business processes in Magadan.
“He has changed the way people work and modified processes by making them more efficient – both in time and capacity. His projects always end up making everyday operational activities easier for staff,” said Mikhail Zhulyabin, Regional IT Lead, Magadan.
One of his many contributions was developing and implementing a SharePoint-based electronic contract approval system, resulting in considerable time savings. Konstantin also created an employee database that helped improve the speed and efficiency of registering expat workers.
Konstantin was also able to help solve two issues at Magadan. First, he found a solution to receive and store large files from other sites, no easy task due to Magadan’s remote location in Russia’s Far East. Second, he was able to create a system to manage translations of the five different languages from Kinross’ operations.
“I really like the process of creating solutions that make it possible to get things done faster and make it easier for employees to do their jobs,” said Konstantin.
