From February 23rd through February 27th, our employees in Toronto were invited to show their appreciation for their colleagues by purchasing a helium balloon tagged with a personal note. Each balloon cost $2, and all of the money raised will be donated to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada – an organization dedicated to cardiac and stroke research.
A total of 1,213 balloons were sold, bringing our charitable donation to $2,426.

This year marks the 5th year the Kinross Toronto Social Committee has organized Appreciation Week, an event that grows bigger every year. “This is a wonderful way for employees in Toronto to show their appreciation to their colleagues,” says Karen Campbell (Manager, Office Services). “Seeing hundreds of balloons floating around our workplace puts a smile on everyone’s face. Thank you to every member of our Social Committee who helped make this year’s Appreciation Week the best yet!”
