CEO visits Kinross Chile

J. Paul Rollinson, President and CEO, recently visited Copiapó to get a firsthand look at Kinross’ projects in the Atacama region.

Rodrigo Moscoso, General Manager, Chile, led the three-day tour that visited the La Coipa and Lobo-Marte projects. The team also met with local employees and senior leaders to establish goals for the projects.

The teams discussed the status of the La Coipa Restart feasibility study and Lobo-Marte scoping study, both of which are proceeding well.

“We were pleased to share the successful progress of our ongoing projects with Paul and to receive his feedback on ways to continue improving our progress,” said Rodrigo Moscoso, General Manager, Chile. “Our team remains focused on our goals and committed to meeting all requirements from an operational and environmental perspective.”

The La Coipa Restart feasibility study is scheduled to be complete in Q3 2019 and the results of the Lobo-Marte scoping study is expected to be included in our Q1 2019 results.
