Kinross attends Resource Development Council Conference in Alaska

Kinross recently attended the Resource Development Council Conference (RDC) in Alaska which brings together members of the mining, oil and gas, forestry, fishing and tourism industry to expand the state’s economic base through the responsible development of natural resources.

Sunil Kumar, Principal Advisor – Energy Strategy, Toronto, participated in a panel on the potential for Alaska to reduce emissions and costs through the adoption of new technologies and the injection of federal funds for grid improvements. Sunil also spoke on Kinross’ commitments to greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals, including being net-zero by 2050, and decreasing emissions by 30% by 2030.
