In July, we announced the Kinross Nevada recipients of the 2022 Nevada Mining Associations (NvMA) Individual Safety awards, including Neil Jensen, Vice-President and General Manager, Kinross Nevada, who received the ‘General Manager’ award,. As well, Joseph Kemp, Vice-President and General Manager, Bald Mountain, and Dale Thompson, Operations Manager, Bald Mountain, each received the ‘Mine Manager’ awards.
In September, recipients attended the annual safety award convention where they spent a weekend in Lake Tahoe participating in a variety of excursions and activities, and connecting with various members of the mining industry. The weekend concluded with the awards ceremony where 37 people were awarded for their safety best practices, including eight Kinross Nevada employees.
