Highlights from the 2016 Annual Shareholders Meeting

On May 11, 2016 Kinross once again held its Annual Shareholder Meeting in Toronto.

Among the items discussed during the meeting, Kinross shareholders elected the Company’s Board of Directors.

J. Paul Rollinson, President & CEO, also gave a presentation and spoke about the Company’s recent achievements and strategy for future growth: “This is the fourth year in a row where our operations have met or exceeded our guidance. We have made the tough decisions when they were needed and maintained a strong focus on our balance sheet. We have presented a clear path to our future.”

Safety, Continuous Improvement, the Nevada acquisition deal and the Tasiast Phase One expansion were also highlighted, along with our balance sheet strength and responsible mining practices.

A video on Round Mountain’s safety culture was shown along with a video on Paracatu’s Integrar program, which supports local schools and education.
