Kinross announces new ESG Executive Committee

At Kinross, one of our First Priorities is a commitment to being a responsible miner. As such, the topic of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) continues to remain a key area of focus for our business and we are committed to further strengthening our ESG strategy.

In line with this commitment, we recently announced a new ESG Executive Committee, which will report to the Senior Leadership Team and our Board on a quarterly basis.

The ESG Executive Committee members are Mike van Akkooi, Senior Vice-President, Government Relations (Chair), Kathleen Grandy, Vice-President, Global Human Resources, and Ed Opitz, Senior Vice-President, Safety and Sustainability.

“Kinross has a strong track record of performance on our First Priorities, and ESG. I believe this is an opportunity to further strengthen our position as an attractive long-term investment by adding more resources and governance to the area of ESG and developing a holistic ESG strategy for our business,” said Paul.
