The world’s largest mining convention, The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), was in full swing from March 5th to 8th in Toronto, Canada.
Mining and mineral professionals from over 118 countries around the world gathered to network, promote their countries as attractive investments and share the latest technologies in mining.
The Kinross booth was a popular destination and was staffed by volunteers representing a number of different groups within Kinross: investor relations, exploration, operations strategy, finance and communications.
Highlights of the conference included a visit from His Excellency Alexander Darchiev, the Russian Ambassador to Canada to the Kinross booth, and Ed Opitz, Vice-President, Corporate Responsibility, speaking on a global panel about Kinross’ community relations.
“PDAC is a great opportunity to talk to investors and promote our Company’s technical bench strength and track record of operational excellence,” said Jennifer Cameron, Manager, Investor Relations. “This year, there was a lot of interest in Bald Mountain, the most recent addition to the Kinross family.”
