In May, Kinross Brazil hosted an influenza vaccination clinic for employees and their family members from the Paracatu, Caçu, and Belo Horizonte areas.
Participants had the opportunity to receive a vaccination via a drive-thru clinic at the mine site or in-person at the mine’s healthcare centre for employees. Over the course of ten days, more than 2,000 people received vaccinations!
“While vaccination has primarily focused on the COVID-19 virus in recent years, we believe it is important to continue advocating for vaccination across a variety of illnesses that could cause potential harm,” said Alexandre Matos, Senior Environmental Manager, Paracatu. “We were pleased to see the positive turnout of employees and their families and hope we can continue to work together to make our workplace, and the city of Paracatu, as safe and healthy as possible.”
