Representatives from Kinross’ global leadership teams recently came together to attend our Quarterly Business Review (QBR) in Chile.
The purpose of the QBR is to bring together senior leadership team members with site leadership to discuss operations and financial results from the previous quarter, and to plan for the next quarter, and remainder of the year. During the QBR, attendees share their successes and challenges from the quarter and discuss opportunities to share best practices and implement them across our global sites.
This January’s QBR took place over two days in Santiago, Chile, where each site leadership representative presented on their sites accomplishments and challenges for the fourth quarter.
Attendees later traveled to La Coipa to get a first-hand look at the sites ongoing progress where they visited the Phase 7 pit, the mill, the filtration system and the tailings storage facility. At the conclusion of the week, attendees participated in a series of off-site activities that prioritized team building, and strengthening the connections between leadership of our global operations.
“Kinross’ QBR’s are a crucial part of our business’ strategy that focuses on our leadership teams working together to improve our global operations. The QBR provided an opportunity to reflect on the quarter, and served as a forum to discuss challenges we face and opportunities to contribute to a successful 2023,” said Claude Schimper, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. “Along with the QBR, it was great to see the progress being made at La Coipa and observing the hardworking team that is contributing to the success of this operation each day. We are excited about the future at La Coipa, and firmly believe that it is going to exceed expectations in the coming months and years.”
